2014 Vail Bouldering World Cup – Preview

Vail, Colorado and its Mountain Games Festival will host the second North American World Cup. Vail is known as a world class destination for outdoor sports and we’ll get the chance to see many strong climbers that don’t usually compete in World Cups.

Semifinals and finals will be streamed live at ifsc-climbing.org

Participants
The starting list is pretty much that of Toronto (adding Americans and substracting Canadians).

A couple of names shine brighter that the rest: Dmitry Sharafutdinov, who is back in the arena after missing Toronto, and Daniel Woods, who lately focuses his climbing efforts outdoors (but don’t get fooled, the guy knows how to pull on plastic).

On the USA team there are many more recognizable names: Carlo Traversi, Alex Johnson, Megan Mascarenas

Also, Thomas Caleyron and Melissa Le Neve return to the French team.
