2016 Chongqing Bouldering World Cup | Results

The World Cup is over in Chongqing. Shauna Coxsey and the young Japanese Tomoa Narasaki won the competition (fourth gold in a row for Coxsey, first ever for Karasaki). Akiyo Noguchi, Jan Hojer, Miho Nonaka and Jongwon Chon completed the podium.

Looks like the round was pretty hard. The second problem for the women wasn’t solved and only Jan Hojer got the top on M4.

Great results for the Japanese team, one medal of each color. It seems like they are much lighter without all the pressure they had in Kazo.

First medals of the year for three of the best performers of last season: Jongwon Chon, Jan Hojer and Akiyo Noguchi.

With this victory Shauna Coxsey is already 97 points ahead of Melissa Le Neve (2nd in the overall) and 146 ahead of Nonaka (3rd).

The male overall is the complete op0osite, there are 15 climbers in a one hundred point span.

Full results: men & women.

Overall World Cup status: men & women.

So far the replay is nowhere to be seen, I’ll share as soon as they post it.
