Anna Stöhr climbs Steppenwolf, 8B | V13, and New Base Line, 8B+ | V14

Austrian star and two times World Champion Anna Stöhr had a very productive Sunday in Magic Wood, Switzerland. In the same day she climbed Steppenwolf, graded 8B | V13, and New Base Line, considered 8B+ | V14. Looks like she’s ready for the World Cup in Meiringen this weekend.

Here’s Shauna Coxsey climbing New Base Line back in 2014:

New Base Line is Stöhr’s first 8B+ | V14 ascent, she’s the 8th women to climb that grade. She’s also climbed 7 8B | V13, including the sit start to Meadowlar Lemon, which she climbed two months ago in Red Rocks, Nevada.

Last year Stöhr did something similar, climbing a 8B | V13 (Wrestling with an Alligator) right before the first Bouldering World Cup of the season (also in Meiringen).

She’s currently 9 in the IFSC World Ranking and, despite not competing in all the stages, she ended up 12th in the 2016 Bouldering World Cup.
