The fantastic route setting duo Percy Bishton-Jacky Godoffe offered really nice problems today. All of them were solved but they were hard to flash. It was quite difficult to predict who would solve what.

Finalists (men): Kilian Fischhuber, Guillaume Glairon Mondet, Michael Piccolruaz, Stefan Danker, Jakob Schubert, Dmitry Sharafutdinov

Finalists (women): Mina Markovic, Monika Retschy, Anna Stöhr, Melanie Sándoz, Anna Gallyamova, Ekaterina Andreeva

Some quick notes:

  • Impressive performance by Mina Markovic, only competitor with 4 tops. She looked focused and strong.
  • Second final ever for Monika Retschy, she made finals in China (first comp of the season) and now on the EBC (last comp of the season).
  • Second final ever for Stefan Danker as well (he was 4th in Canmore, Canada, in 2011).
  • The youngster Michael Piccolruaz, only 17 years old, has made finals and sits in an impressive 3rd place.
  • Shauna Coxsey and Rustam Gelmanov, two obvious favorites, have ended up in the unholy 7th place, just out of finals.
  • Dutch star Jorg Verhoeven is out of finals in 8th place.
  • Two Russian girls, Anna Gallyamova and Ekaterina Andreeva, have made finals for the first time this season.
