The climbers surprised everyone in the final, climbing much harder than they did in the working session. Problems that looked close to impossible on Thursday were flashed today.

The overperformance of the climbers (and the absence of Tomoa Narasaki due to injury) made the final a bit too short, but overall it was a very good show, full of tops and excitement.

Fujii also topped all the problems, needing just 2 tries more than Chon. Megos did very well up until the fourth problem, in which he couldn’t do the start. Gelmanov failed on that start too, his height probably limited him on that particular move.

Kudos to Jimmy Webb, who despite his finger injuries and a nasty case of food poisoning, powered through the adversity and not only competed but climbed better than he did in the working session.

Spread the word!
