Krater, new 8C | V15 by Adam Ondra

Adam Ondra has added a new super hard line to his bouldering resume with his first ascent of Krater. The line is a linkage of Blatant and Kra, two 8B | V13 problems located in the Czech area of Holstejn (less than an hour away of Adam’s hometown, Brno). Adam considers it 8C | V15.

By the way, it was in Holstejn were, in 2011, Adam climbed his 8C+ | V16 proposal Terranova. It’s the first problem in this video:

This season Adam has been focusing on sport climbing on rock, but this weekend he will compete at the IFSC Lead European Championships in Campitello di Fassa, Italy.

Despite his impressive results in competitions (he has been World Champion and World Cup Champion both in lead and bouldering), Adam has never won a continental championship. He has been really close on 4 occasions; he took the silver medal in Chamonix 2015 (lead), Innsbruck 2015 (bouldering) and Imst/Innsbruck 2010 (lead and bouldering).
