Jernej Kruder and Matilda Söderlund won the BBK Psicobloc (Deep Water Soloing) competition held in Bilbao yesterday. The competition followed the dueling format that is pretty much the standard for psicobloc events and was livestreamed through Youtube.

Jernej Kruder seems to be having a ton of fun in Spain. Back in November he pulled off an impressive first repetition of Es Pontas, then climbed a bunch of double-digits in the Canary Islands, won a comp against guys like Ondra, Sharma or Hojer, and now he has repeated Catalan Witness the Fitness.

Jernej Kruder repeats Es Pontas!

Jan Hojer reports on Instagram that Jernej Kruder has just done the second ascent of Chris Sharma’s Es Pontas. After about a month of effort the Slovenian star has managed to send what’s probably the hardest psicobloc line to date.

German powerhouse Jan Hojer and Slovenian star Jernej Kruder are in Mallorca, Spain, working on the most famous deep water soloing (AKA psicobloc) line ever: Chris Sharma’s Es Pontas. Opened by Sharma in 2006, the route remains unrepeated and it is considered one of the hardest on the planet.
