The 2016 IFSC Bouldering Calendar

The new IFSC Bouldering season is here! Let’s take a look at all the events that he have ahead of us.

The World Cup season will have 7 competitions this year, which means that the worse result of each climber won’t count for the overall title (as opposed to last year).

Here’s the list:

  • 15-16 April – Meiringen, Switzerland – Preview
  • 23-24 April – Kazo, Japan
  • 30 April – 1 May – Chongqing, China
  • 14-15 May – Navi Mumbai, India
  • 20-21 May – Innsbruck, Austria
  • 10-11 June – Vail, USA
  • 12-13 – August – Munich, Germany

As if that wasn’t enough, the icing on the cake will be the World Championships, that this year will take place in Paris (14-18 September).

Paris held the World Champs back in 2012 and that was one of the best events competition climbing has ever had, and I’m sure this year it will be even better.

We we’ll cover all those event, attending 6 of them in person (we won’t go to Chongqing and Navi Mumbai).

You can check out the entire IFSC Calendar here.

We are very happy to announce that our coverage of the IFSC season will be sponsor by Euro Holds, one of the leading companies in the hold-manufacturing business.
