The 6th edition of The Climb Open Boulder Festival will take place this Saturday in Madrid. 200 climbers, 30 problems, costumes, barbecue, and Jan Hojer as invited star. If you are in town make sure you show up, if not, the final will be streamed live on youtube!

Among the 200 participants, we find members of the Spanish national team (Sergio Verdasco, Javi Cano, Sergio Pastor, Mikel Linacisoro, Anier Gozálvez, …), many other prominent Spanish climbers (Carlos Ruano, Rut Casas, Dani Fuertes, María Benach, ….) and of course the German powerhouse Jan Hojer, fresh off trying the sit start to The Big Island in Font. The route setting team will be led by British stars Percy Bishton and Andy Long.

2016 final

Since its inauguration in 2012, The Climb has been one of the most innovative gyms in Spain, always trying to help Spain’s indoor bouldering scene catch up with countries like the UK or Germany. The fact that they are streaming the final of their open proves once again their commitment to the growth of the sport.

The final will start tomorrow (the 21st) at 7pm (CET). Here’s the livestream:
